Silulumanzi operates under a 30-year concession contract with the City of Mbombela, starting in 1999. It provides services to Mbombela City, Matsulu, KaNyamazane, and nearby peri-urban areas. The towns are supplied by the Crocodile River, with the Kwena Dam as the main storage. Each town has its own water purification facilities using conventional treatment, while the KaNyamazane system is managed by a third party for the City of Mbombela Local Municipality.
